Princess Diana left secrets on healer’s phone

PRINCESS DIANA’S spiritual confidante has spoken for the first time about answerphone messages she received from the troubled royal.

They include details of her campaign against arms dealers and her growing paranoia about potential threats to her life.

For five years the princess talked to psychic healer Simone Simmons regularly, sometimes for hours.

Simone has now told Radar Online about the secrets her famous friend left behind, many of which were recorded as frantic messages on her answering machine.

In two of the tapes, which were played to the news outlet, Diana said in a hushed voice she had “so much” to tell the healer.

Simone is convinced that Diana was about to go public and name a group of international arms dealers on the morning of the crash.

She also heard that the divorced princess intended to move to America and hoped to buy the Los Angeles home of Oscar-winning actor Julie Andrews.

Contrary to claims made by the billionaire Harrods owner Mohamed Al-Fayed, Diana was not in love with his son Dodi, and never intended to marry him.

Instead, she apparently hoped to reunite with her former partner, the British-Pakistani heart and lung surgeon Hasnat Khan.

Another well-known relationship with British ex-rugby player Will Carling began when Diana asked him to create a personal training programme that would help regain her figure after suffering bouts of the eating disorder bulimia.

In two of the tapes Diana said in a hushed voice she had “so much” to tell the healer.

London-based Simone wrote the 2005 book Diana: The Last Word about her time counselling the princess during the final five years of her life.

Simone, who said that “No subject was taboo” between her and Diana, commented on Radar Online that the princess “would speak to me for hours and hours on end on the phone…

“If Diana was alive today, she would be bringing the light she always had around her to these dark days and connecting with people in need.

“The answerphone messages show Diana trusted me like nobody else. She never really left answer machine messages for anyone else as she didn’t trust them like she did me.”

After one message which was left while Simone was out, she and Diana “had a conversation that lasted the better part of an entire day.”

There are many more messages stored by Simone. In some, Diana sounds “very angry and accuses me of sharing gossip, which I never did.

“She later calmed down when she realised it wasn’t me, but they show how paranoid she was getting before she died.”

The healer first met Diana at London’s Hale Clinic complementary medicine centre and became a close adviser, visiting her up to five days a week at her home in Kensington Palace.

Diana had a profound interest in spirituality and consulted a number of mediums, healers and spiritual counsellors.
